ARTICLE I LINEAGE

ALWAYS THINK SAFETY !
A. The purpose of this organization shall be to:
1. Preserve the heritage and memorabilia of all nations which participated in
WW 2 in Europe and to keep alive the traditions of the Combat Soldier of that period
in history.
2. Educate the general public to the importance of preserving all of the artifacts,
memorabilia, and history of WW 2.
3. Show and demonstrate the history and equipment of this conflict to the general
public for their educational benefit.
4. Encourage and foster the growth of “historically accurate” living
history/reenacting as a hobby.
5. Conduct “Closed to the public” tactical battles for the enjoyment of the
membership.
B. Motto
The motto of The Regiment shall be: “Lest they be forgotten!”
The WW 2 Living History Regiment Inc. is, and shall always be, a WW 2
Educational/Historical Organization with Headquarters in Colorado. It is because we
are an Educational/Historical Organization that we have Non Profit status. We are
not part of, nor do we approve of, any paramilitary, survivalist, or racist group!
A. CATEGORIES
1. GENERAL MEMBER shall be any legally competent person at least 18 years
old, who fills out the required enlistment form, pays the required fee, and joins
a recognized unit.
2. FAMILY MEMBER shall be any legally competent person - wife, or child
between 16 and 19 years of age, living in the same residence as their General
Member sponsor. They must also be a participating combatant in the same
unit(s).
3. AUXILIARY MEMBER shall be any person who does not participate as a
combatant. They can not be counted on a unit roster or receive High Ground.
4. ASSOCIATE MEMBER shall be any firm or individual, who does not participate,
but does wish to support The regiment. They shall receive the Regimental News
Letter High Ground and may advertise therein at the prevailing rates.

B. RESTRICTIONS
1. For 16 and 17 year olds to participate in Battles, skirmishes or Tactical
Demonstrations, the General Member sponsor must also be a participant.
2. Auxiliary and Associate Members are allowed to ride in Non Tactical vehicles
(jeep/red cross flag over hood, ambulances, etc.) in the Battle Area, but there
must be NO weapons in the vehicle — Emergencies excepted! Violation of this
rule will result in the immediate expulsion from The Regiment of everyone in the
vehicle!!!
3. Initial enlistment (new members ref: Article III. A. sections 1 and 2) shall be
for two (2) years. Reenlistments may be for either one (1), two (2), or three (3)
years.
4. NO officer (elected or appointed) or Unit Commander shall hold any command
position in any other WW 2 reenactment group/organization, unless they resign
their office/command in The Regiment!

C. REVOCATION
A membership may be revoked by unanimous vote of the Staff or by a 70% vote
in favor of by those present at a National Meeting for any of the following:
1. Conviction of a felony
2. Serious violation of this SOP
3. Serious violation of Article V, section 1 or 4.
4. Serious violation of Article XI, Safety
D. Appeal
Except for those cases where this SOP states that there is no appeal, an
individual shall have the right to appeal the revocation of their membership if
done in writing within 30 days of having received notification by registered mail
of the revocation.
1. The membership shall be suspended until such appeal is decided.
2. The Staff must reply within thirty (30) days of receipt of the appeal by
registered mail. Failure to do so will cause the appeal to be granted.

E. VOTING RIGHTS
Only General members may vote! ALL ballots for both National and Chapter
elections shall be by mail.

F. ELECTION RULES
1. In order to run for an elected office a member must have been in The
Regiment for two years prior to the month of the election.
2. Anyone who wishes to run for National office must submit a letter of intent to
be printed in the H.G. election issue. This letter must be received by the cutoff
date for submissions to that issue. No letter, no candidacy!
3. That for any office in National elections where only one (1) person has
declared, there will be provision for a write in candidate, who must, if elected,
submit a letter of acceptance immediately after the election.
4. For each election a cutoff date by postmark will be announced and a date for
counting ballots set. The counting date must be between 10 and 14 days after
the postmark date.
5. A prepared ballot with pre fold marks and mailing address will be included
with the Fall election issue of HighGround. This ballot will include mailing
instructions stating the cutoff date and ballot counting date.
6. Ballots may be hand delivered if received prior to counting date.

G. ENLISTMENT LOCATIONS
New enlistment’s will be accepted at Any Regimental activity.

H. LIFE MEMBERSHIP
The three Cofounders/Incorporators of this organization, Dean Byrne, Chris
Cary, and Walt Williams, have irrevocable Life Membership herein, unless
voluntarily surrendered – Never to be restored! They shall also have a vote at
All staff meetings.

I. NON MEMBERS
Members of all other WW 2 reenactment groups shall be allowed to participate in
Regimental activities, if they meet our Authenticity Standards, follow our Safety
Rules, and present a current membership card from their group. This applies
whether or not their organization has recognized The Regiment.
1. That all recognized WW 2 re-enactment groups Must issue membership cards
as part of the
requirement for their being recognized!
2. A WW2 Reenactment Group shall be defined as an organization that has
multiple allied and axis units and regularly conducts multiple annual tactical
Battle reenactments in at least two states.
3. Guests and potential members may only attend two skirmishes without
joining The Regiment
